Clearing Behind the Lake: Making Room for Power and Progress

When we started this project, the area behind the lake was thick with overgrowth. You could barely see where the property ended, let alone get equipment through. The goal was simple — clear the land and make a path to bring power down to the shop.

After just two days of steady work, the difference is already dramatic. About three-quarters of the clearing is done, and the view behind the lake has completely opened up. It’s amazing how much cleaner and more functional a property can look once brush and trees are cleared properly.

This type of project takes more than just heavy equipment. It takes experience in grading, soil management, and understanding how to preserve the natural layout of the land while creating access for utilities and future work. Every scoop, cut, and load has to make sense for drainage, stability, and long-term usability.

By the time we wrap up, this property will have a clean, accessible route for the new power line — and a much more open and usable backyard space around the lake.

If you’ve got land that’s overgrown, uneven, or hard to access, WM Tucker Construction can help. From clearing and grading to driveways and building pads, we handle site prep and excavation projects throughout Middle Tennessee.
